Monthly is $10 a month and always includes the newest version. The perpetual license is $100 once for version Z1, which you keep for as long as you like, with security and bug fixes; each later version is an optional $10 upgrade. Both include every feature of their version on every device.
Yes. On the monthly plan you add a card after confirming your email, and the trial lasts 30 days from confirmation. You're not charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you're never charged at all.
Monthly subscribers get it automatically. License holders are offered the upgrade for $10. If you don't upgrade, you keep using the version you bought, with security and bug fixes; only the new version's new features are left out.
Yes, any time, from Plan & billing in the app (Account & Security). Cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. A license has nothing to cancel.
Within 30 days of a purchase — your first monthly payment, the perpetual license, or an upgrade — we refund it in full on request. After 30 days, payments aren't refundable; on the monthly plan, cancelling simply stops the next charge.
Yes. Buy the license from Plan & billing; your subscription stops automatically, so you're never charged for both.
No. Monthly is $10 a month until you cancel; the license is $100 once, plus $10 for any later version you choose to upgrade to. No setup fees and no storage add-ons. Any sales tax the law requires is shown at checkout.
If the monthly price ever changes, subscribers get at least 30 days' notice and can cancel before it applies. A license you've bought is never re-priced.
They're kept for at least 90 days, so you can export them or choose a plan again. Export writes your whole library to a folder you choose, readable: every note as HTML and Markdown, and every board, map, drawing and chart as JSON.
No. Any note exports as HTML, Markdown or PDF at any time, and File → Offline Folder… keeps a readable copy of your whole library in a folder you choose. Those are open formats you can take anywhere.
Yes. Once you've signed in on a device, Zab Notes keeps a copy of your library on it and every workspace keeps working without a connection, including creating, editing and deleting. Changes are sent automatically when you're back online. Drawings are kept on a device once opened, or all of them if you choose that in the Drawings sidebar.
No. We don't have advertising, analytics trackers or data sales; our business is the plans on this page. And we couldn't read your notes if we wanted to: everything you write is encrypted on your device before it reaches us, so we hold only ciphertext. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
